Affiliate disclosure
How this site is funded
BackupPowerGuides is reader supported through affiliate commissions. When you buy a product through some links on this site, we may earn a commission from the manufacturer or retailer at no extra cost to you. That is the site's business model, stated as plainly as we can state it.
The honest current state of our links
As of the date on this page, our affiliate program applications are in setup. The manufacturer and retailer links on this site today are plain links: they carry no tracking and earn us nothing yet. As programs are approved, links will be replaced with tracked affiliate links, and this page will be updated to name the programs we participate in. The disclosure at the top of every guide page will always describe the links on that page as they are, not as we hope they will be.
What commissions never buy
- Rankings. Picks are ordered by the method published on our about page: usable capacity, refill speed, output, and expandability, with the math on the page.
- Coverage. Products with no affiliate route are still named where honesty requires it, including in comparisons where a non paying product is the right context.
- Verdicts. Our "who should skip this" sections exist to talk readers out of purchases that do not fit, including purchases that would have paid us.
Review methodology
Our reviews are researched reviews, built from manufacturer spec sheets, manuals, and retailer listings verified on the checked date printed on each page. We do not perform hands-on testing at this time and we never imply that we do. We publish no star ratings and borrow no scores. Prices are checked figures with a date, never live quotes. Full method details are on the about page.
